Before using the URL Shortener for Zoho CRM extension, you need to establish a connection with the specific vendor.
There are 3 vendors you can choose to shorten URLs, they are -
You need to copy and paste the Access token into the corresponding field. We will show you how to set the vendor connection for different vendors.
Before that, you need to sign in or create an account for individual vendors. Here are the signup links for each vendor -
To shorten URLs with Bitly, we need to go to (https://bitly.com/) and log in with authorized credentials.
After login, go to Settings >> API
Enter the password for your account and then, click the “Generate token” button.
This will generate an Access token. Copy it for the next step.
Inside the CRM, go to “URL Shortener Settings” and paste the token in the Access token field. Remember, the vendor should be selected first. In this case, we will select Bitly.
After that, we need to press the “Validate Access Token” button. After pressing the button, we should see a green check mark that indicates the token is valid.
Otherwise, the validation is not right when you see a red cross mark like the following picture -
Once everything is done, we need to click the “Save Settings” button to apply changes.
To shorten URLs with Cuttly, we need to go to (https://cutt.ly/) and log in with authorized credentials.
After login, navigate to - API >> API Key >> manage API
Click on “Generate/change the API key”. A notification will pop up saying, “Do you want to generate new API key? The old API key will not working after this change.”
Just press Ok, and you will get an Access token under the API key field. Copy it for the next step.
Inside the CRM, go to “URL Shortener Settings” and paste the token in the Access token field. Remember, the vendor should be selected first. In this case, we will choose Cuttly.
After that, we need to press the “Validate Access Token” button. After pressing the button, we should see a green check mark that indicates the token is valid.
Otherwise, the validation is not right when you see a red cross mark like the following picture -
Once everything is done, we need to click the “Save Settings” button to apply changes.
To shorten URLs with Tiny, we need to go to (https://tinyurl.com/) and log in with authorized credentials.
Then, go to Account >> API and create a token.
Give a suitable name for the token and click on the Create button.
Once the token is created, click the “Copy To Clipboard” button to copy it.

After that, we need to press the “Validate Access Token” button. After pressing the button, we should see a green check mark that indicates the token is valid.
Otherwise, the validation is not right when you see a red cross mark like the following picture -
Once everything is done, we need to click the “Save Settings” button to apply changes.
Please Note -
The extension is not responsible for the conditions of the URLs after you cancel your subscription from a particular vendor. Depending on the vendor, the shortened URLs may or may not remain the same after canceling subscriptions or deleting accounts.
